Getting to Know Each Other
What's in a Name?
"A rose by any other name would smell as sweet" is a popular reference to William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet, in which Juliet seems to argue that it does not matter that Romeo is from her family's rival house of Montague, that is, that he is named "Montague". The reference is often used to imply that the names of things do not affect what they really are.
Names of people do not affect what people are like either, or do they?
What's behind a name?
My name is Ana, and I am pretty happy with my name.
Are you happy with your name?
Are you named after someone? Why did your parents choose your name?
Does your name have a meaning?
Do you have a nickname? If so, what is it and how did you get it?
Find out what Meryl Streep & Nicole Kidman have to say about their names origins.
Let's get to know each other better then!
Tell me, what are you like?
