Prepositions

As you well know by now, prepositions are very important words as we use them more frequently than any other individual words.
Prepositions have basically two functions. The first and most important is to connect the noun to the rest of the sentence. The second one is to specify the noun (person or object) position.

The basic three types of prepositions are: time, place and movement.

Yet/ Still / Already

Already means that an action has been done sooner than expected.
They have already arrived.

Yet means something  is still expected to happen and is used in negative and question sentences.
We haven't used it yet.
Are we there yet?

Still means something is ongoing at the present time. It is usually placed after the "be" verbs and before action or or stative verbs.
It was still dark when I got in.
